Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what personal information Luciint collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Luciint, together with its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and divisions and the brands, trade names, and "doing business as" (DBA) names it owns or operates (collectively, "Luciint," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in connection with the website at https://luciint.com, any other website, application, store, or platform we own or operate under any of our brands, trade names, or DBAs across any industry, and any related sites, applications, social-media pages, communications, and tools (the "Site"), and the software design, development, and related services we provide (the "Services"). This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and forms part of your agreement with us.
This Policy describes our practices as a "controller" or "business" with respect to information we collect about visitors, prospective clients, clients, partners, referrers, and applicants. When we process personal information on behalf of a client to provide the Services, we generally do so as a "processor" or "service provider" acting on that client's documented instructions under the applicable Engagement Agreement, and that client's own privacy notice governs that processing.
PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY. By accessing or using the Site or the Services, by communicating with us, or by providing us with personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and the practices it describes. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Site or the Services.
2. Our Brands, Trade Names, and Affiliates
Luciint operates a family of brands across multiple industries. In addition to the Luciint brand, we own and operate other brands, trade names, labels, stores, and "doing business as" (DBA) names, each of which may have its own website, application, or storefront. This Policy applies to the personal information we collect through every one of those properties and the Services offered through them, whether or not the Luciint name appears on the property you are using.
We may share and combine personal information among Luciint and our parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the brands, trade names, and DBAs we own or operate, and process it under this Policy for the purposes described here — including to operate and improve our properties, understand our customers across our brands, secure our systems, and market our Services and offerings — except where applicable law or a separate notice provided to you requires otherwise.
We may create, acquire, add, rename, rebrand, combine, transfer, or discontinue any brand, trade name, DBA, or property at any time and in our sole discretion. Naming or omitting a brand in this Policy does not change the practices described here, which apply to every property we own or operate, whether or not it is specifically named. If a particular brand or property has different privacy practices, we will provide a separate or supplemental notice on that property.
3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in a variety of ways and from a variety of sources, including the categories below. The specific information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
Information you provide to us
We collect the information you choose to give us — for example, when you submit an inquiry, request a proposal, apply to a program, create or manage an account, engage our Services, participate in a survey, promotion, or event, post on or interact with our communities, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, mailing or billing address, account credentials, the contents and attachments of your communications, and any materials, requirements, content, or instructions you provide.
Payment and transaction information
When you pay for or receive Services, we and our payment processors collect transaction and billing information, such as your billing details, the amount and date of the transaction, and limited card information (for example, the last four digits, card type, and expiration). Full payment-card numbers are handled by our payment processors, not stored by us.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit or interact with the Site, we and our service providers and partners automatically collect technical and usage information using cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, server logs, and similar technologies. This may include your IP address; device, browser, and operating-system type and settings; unique identifiers; language and regional settings; referring and exit pages; the pages, content, and links you view and click; browsing and "click-stream" activity; mouse movements, scrolling, and session-interaction data (including, where used, session replay and heatmap data); approximate or precise location (where permitted); error logs; and the dates and times of your activity.
Information from other sources
We may obtain information about you from third parties and combine it with information we already hold. These sources may include our analytics, advertising, hosting, security, and communications providers; identity, fraud-prevention, and data-enrichment or lead-enhancement companies; social-media platforms and single-sign-on providers (where you choose to connect them); partners, resellers, and referrers; co-marketing and event partners; and publicly available or commercially available sources.
Inferences
We may derive inferences from the information above — for example, to estimate your interests, preferences, characteristics, and likelihood to engage with our Services — and we treat those inferences as personal information.
We do not actively seek to collect special or sensitive categories of personal information (such as government-identifier, health, biometric, precise-geolocation, or financial-account data) through the Site, and you should not submit such information unless we have expressly arranged for it in writing. If you provide it, you consent to our processing it as described in this Policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the purposes below and for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or otherwise permitted by law. We may use any category of information we collect for any of these purposes:
- to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and support the Site and the Services, and to administer your account, engagements, and transactions;
- to process payments, invoicing, and collections, and to manage our relationship with you;
- to respond to your inquiries, applications, and requests, and to send administrative and transactional communications, including changes to our terms, policies, and practices;
- to evaluate, analyze, debug, secure, and improve the Site and the Services, and to develop new products, features, offerings, and lines of business;
- to understand and analyze usage, trends, traffic, and the performance of the Site and Services, and to generate reports, statistics, insights, and analytics;
- to develop, train, evaluate, and improve algorithms, models, and machine-learning and artificial-intelligence systems, as further described under "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning";
- to create de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information and to use it for any lawful purpose, as further described under "De-Identified and Aggregated Information";
- to personalize and tailor your experience, content, and the communications and offers you see;
- to market and promote our Services, measure and improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and, with consent where required, send promotional communications you may opt out of at any time;
- to deliver, measure, and tailor advertising — including interest-based, cross-context, and retargeting advertising — and to build audiences and suppress ads from existing customers;
- to conduct research, surveys, promotions, contests, and events;
- to detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful, unauthorized, or unlawful activity, and to verify identity and assess risk;
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, enforce our Terms and other agreements, and protect our rights, property, safety, and that of others; and
- to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, and governmental and regulatory requests, including tax, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
We may use the information we collect, including usage data, communications, and content (other than client Confidential Information processed under an Engagement Agreement, which we use only as that agreement permits), to develop, train, test, evaluate, operate, and improve algorithms, statistical models, and machine-learning and artificial-intelligence systems that support and enhance the Site, the Services, security, analytics, and our business. Where we do so, we use reasonable measures appropriate to the context, such as de-identification or aggregation, except where personal information is necessary for the purpose.
6. De-Identified and Aggregated Information
We may de-identify, anonymize, or aggregate personal information so that it no longer reasonably identifies you, and we may use, retain, disclose, and commercialize that de-identified or aggregated information for any lawful purpose — including research, analytics, benchmarking, product development, and marketing — indefinitely and without further notice to you. Where required by law, we maintain such information in a de-identified form, do not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted to test our de-identification, and contractually require recipients to do the same.
7. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into one; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, analyzing, improving, and marketing the Site and Services, developing new products, and growing and protecting our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; (c) your consent, where we request it (for example, for certain cookies, marketing, or sensitive data), which you may withdraw at any time without affecting prior processing; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may obtain more information about our balancing assessment by contacting us.
10. Sale or Sharing; Targeted Advertising
Some of our sharing of identifiers, commercial information, and internet- or device-activity data with advertising and analytics partners for interest-based or cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising," under certain U.S. state privacy laws, even where no money changes hands. Where that is the case, you may opt out as described under "Your U.S. State Privacy Rights," including through any "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism we provide and through recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
11. Marketing Choices
You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us, and you can manage advertising and cookie preferences as described under "Cookies and Similar Technologies." Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages about your account, engagement, our Services, security, or this Policy.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account or relationship is active, for as long as needed to provide the Site and Services, and thereafter for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including to maintain business records, conduct analytics, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations — after which we delete, anonymize, or de-identify it. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which we process it, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, and applicable legal requirements and limitation periods. We may retain de-identified and aggregated information indefinitely as described above. Because of the nature of backups and technical systems, residual copies may persist for a limited period after deletion.
13. Data Security
We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, physical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any unauthorized access to, or loss, misuse, or alteration of, information beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for using the Site and Services securely, and for maintaining your own backups of data you provide, as described in our Terms of Service.
14. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States and may collect, process, store, and transfer personal information in the United States and other countries, including countries whose data-protection laws may differ from, and may not provide the same level of protection as, those of your country. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy determination, we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum or Swiss equivalent), where required by applicable law. By using the Site or Services, where permitted by law you consent to such transfers.
15. Business Transfers
As our business develops, we may buy, sell, or reorganize businesses or assets. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, dissolution, or sale or transfer of some or all of our assets or business, personal information may be disclosed to and transferred to the counterparties and their advisors as part of that transaction or evaluation, and may continue to be used as described in this Policy or as the recipient subsequently discloses.
16. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
We may use automated tools to analyze information and form profiles or inferences — for example, for analytics, personalization, advertising, security, and fraud prevention. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing without a lawful basis. Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out of certain profiling or to obtain human review, you may exercise it as described below.
17. Your Rights (EEA/UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, subject to applicable law you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request erasure; restrict or object to certain processing (including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing); request portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@luciint.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and some rights are subject to exemptions and limitations under applicable law.
18. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), and subject to exceptions in those laws, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients; request correction or deletion; obtain a portable copy; opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of certain profiling; and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may exercise them, or appeal a decision, by contacting us at hello@luciint.com. We may verify your request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits. Where we recognize an opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), we will treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for the browser or device that sends it. California residents may also have the right to know about disclosures of personal information for direct-marketing purposes.
19. Children’s Privacy
The Site and Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
20. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site may link to, integrate with, or rely on third-party websites, platforms, plugins, and services that we do not control and that have their own privacy practices. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, security, or practices. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and policies, and we encourage you to review them.
21. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time in our discretion. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, provide additional notice as required by law, such as by email or a notice on the Site. Changes are effective when posted unless stated otherwise, and your continued use of the Site or Services after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
22. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Policy or our privacy practices, or wish to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@luciint.com. If you are in the EEA or UK and we are the controller, you may also have the right to contact your local data-protection supervisory authority.
